“D” is for DEVELOPMENT
People that have been around this industry for a while will tell you that Network Marketing in an investment in self-improvement. That it’s the best personal development package you can buy. I believe that 100% because I have experienced it first hand.
I thought when I got started network marketing that they meant I would get ”tough” because I was hearing “no” or feeling rejected and that in time I would get over that. Well, I did actually, but that’s peanuts compared to the personal growth this gig will bring you. If you are willing to learn about yourself and give yourself permission to change and improve, you will excel at network marketing.
If you are going to tell me that you just “can’t________” (you fill in the blank) or the you “don’t ________” (again, fill in the blank), then go read someone else’s blog–this is not for you. Network marketing is not for the faint of heart or weak of will. Don’t get me wrong, if you are lacking certain skills, that’s okay. But you will not make it without spreading your wings and allowing yourself to fly solo. That means overcoming your own objections and excuses first and not letting yourself off the hook.
One of the things that will propel you to the top in anything you put your mind to, is discovering yourself. You have a natural rhythm and personal strengths and weaknesses that make you unique–totally different from everyone else. Discovering these traits about yourself will do four major things for you:
1. It will let you know where you shine. Now you can step out with confidence in areas your are strong, knowing you are ready, willing and able.
2. It will show you where you need help by identifying your weaknesses. Now you can seek support from mentors in the areas you need the most help.
3. It will make it clear to you when it is your best time for different types of productivity. You must, of course do certain activities when it will bring the best results. For instance, you wouldn’t do follow up calls at 2:00am unless you want your prospects coming after you, or you have prospects in a different time zone, right?
4. It will tell you what you need to look for in business partners. No, I’m not kidding. Think about this:
Henry Ford didn’t know how to build a car from start to finish, but he had an idea about how to set up a system. By surrounding himself with a team of leaders in the areas he was weakest, he managed to personally revolutionize car manufacturing forever.
President Kennedy surrounded himself with experts in every possible field of knowledge he believed he would need. He was known for calling them together to discuss the crisis at hand so that he could make the most informed decision at every turn.
You must learn what you do best and where you need help. See out the help you need to strengthen yourself and become as proficient in every aspect of network marketing as you can.
Find out when you are your very best and work on scheduling activities during those times when you need to be at the top of your game. Or schedule the activities you have the biggest challenge in during those times, to give yourself a fighting chance.
In the meantime and throughout your journey in this industry, continue to seek out those that will compliment your skill set. That is the true beauty of team work. And one of the biggest personal benefits of network marketing is self-discovery and self-growth. Enjoy the journey!
So take a moment and consider this, you must discovery who you are and what you do well, and not so well to optimize your experience in this industry. This is a journey of discovery as much as, if not more than, a road to success. In fact, your own growth is part of your success story.
Now get out there and write your story!

What a lovely article. I spend hours on the internet reading blogs, about tons of different subjects. I have to first of all give kudos to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an post. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only a few posses and frankly you have it. The combination of informative and quality content is definitely extremely rare with the large amount of blogs on the internet.
